Danny Dee wrote this one. He brought it to the band with some indication he was frustrated with its simple structure. When quizzed, he indicated he was currently into U2. Joe sharpened his pencil and came up with this arrangement.
Listen for Danny's breaking heart to fade into the distance at the end...
lyrics
.
When the tides of life, seem to rise too high
You're feelin' like, you wanna die
From the hole in your heart, pours the blood of another
Chorus:
Breakin' hearts, it's too late, for letting go
Breakin' hearts, it's too late, no hand to hold
If the dark clouds would just go away
And forget the sadness of sayin' goodbye
Sayin' goodbye shadows all my days
And the nighttime sky has no stars for me
Chorus
Yes I remember the oceans we sailed
The fire in our eyes
And now the footprints in the sand
Wash out with the tide
When the tides of life, seem to rise too high
Feelin' like, you wanna cry
From the hole in your heart, pours the blood of another
When the winds of change blow down your dream
And the pain of love is too extreme
I reach out for a hand to hold
Chorus
Reach out...
...for a hand to hold
